In support of Governor Siminalayi Fubara, two House of Representatives members, Awaji-Inombek Abiante and Boma Goodhead, organized a solidarity march to the Rivers State Government House on Friday.
A few Ijaw Youths Council members joined them.
Goodhead represents the Asari-Toru/Akuku-Toru Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, while Abiante represents the Andoni/Opobo/Nkiru Federal Constituency.
The IYC marched under the direction of the two federal lawmakers from the UTC Junction along Azikiwe Road to Government House. The march ended at the State House of Assembly on Moscow Road in Port Harcourt, where the legislators spoke to young people.
The march followed the political upheaval that shook the state after Fubara and his predecessor, Nyesom, squared off.
