Adegoke Fayoade, the state’s newly appointed Commissioner of Police (CP) for Lagos State, has pledged to guarantee impenetrable security both before and after the state’s Christmas and New Year celebrations.
On Thursday, following his appointment as the new CP of the Lagos Command, Fayoade provided the assurance in a news interview.
DCP Waheed Ayinllara, the acting CP, passed the leadership baton to Fayoade.
After being promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector-General of Police and placed in charge of the Federal Criminal Investigation Department in Alagbon, Lagos, Ayinllara succeeded Mr. Idowu Owohunwa, the former head of the police department.
The new CP stated that the Command would collaborate with other security organizations to safeguard every part of Lagos by air, land, and sea while also monitoring ongoing traffic in the state.
Lagos residents ought to enjoy their Christmas and New Year’s festivities and carry on with their regular activities.
“We’re going to offer impenetrable security that will safeguard people and their belongings. Our patrol will be very effective, and our men will be visible in all areas, including fun centers. There will be no crimes over Christmas and New Year’s,” he promised.
The newly appointed commissioner praised Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his unwavering dedication to and support of the state’s security and safety concerns.
