The All Progressives Congress (APC) branch in Zamfara State has expressed dismay at the alleged lack of attention from the state administration to the attacks that are still occurring against communities in the state.
As per a statement released on Wednesday in Gusau by Malam Yusuf Idris, the state Publicity Secretary of the APC.
In the state’s Zurmi Local Government Area, there had been a bandit attack that left innocent people dead or kidnapped. Idris was reacting to that.
We offer our condolences to the families of the people killed in these tragic attacks.
“We ask Allah to grant them a place to stay in Jannaatu Firdausi and the strength to help their families deal with the irreplaceable loss.”
“We will not stop pressuring all levels of government to make sure that enduring peace returns to each and every one of our neighborhoods.
In addition, we will keep helping in whatever way we can to lessen the impact of the hardship endured by our people,” he declared.
The APC spokesperson expressed concern over the continued attacks on security personnel and communities, which have led to the deaths of innocent people and the destruction of property.
Governor Dauda Lawal’s senior special assistant on media and publicity, Sulaiman Bala, released a statement in which he bemoaned the increase in banditry in the state and expressed alarm about attacks on communities, particularly in Zurmi, Maru, and Tsafe LGAs.
