A person who has not yet been identified was electrocuted in the Day Waterman area near the Kobape area of the state, according to the Ogun State Police Command.
The incident occurred on Wednesday while the unidentified man was cutting an Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company cable, according to information provided by the police.
According to information obtained by our correspondent, the issue was reported to the police by an IBEDC employee at the Owode Egba branch.
Our correspondent was informed by Omolola Odutola, the command’s public relations officer, who confirmed the incident, that the “corpse has been taken to the Ogun State Teaching Hospital Sagamu for autopsy.”
One person was electrocuted and two more were detained for stealing cables.
