The “OBO” crooner is easily at the top of the list, which was announced on Tuesday by entertainment data business Top Charts Africa, with a total of 56.1 million followers across various social media platforms.
With 38.6 million followers, Grammy-winning musician Burna Boy is ranked second, closely followed by Wizkid, who has 38.4 million followers.
Afropop sensations Yemi Alade and Tiwa Savage are tied for fourth place with 34.3 million followers apiece.
The remaining nine people in the top 10 are actress Regina Daniels (28.7 million followers), singer Simi (29.9 million followers), sketch creator Mark Angel (29.7 million followers), music executive Don Jazzy (30.1 million followers), and actress Mercy Johnson (33.5 million followers).
Based on followers on four of the biggest social media networks—Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and Tiktok—the ranking was created.
