In Delta State’s Uvwie Local Government Area, in the Ugborikoko Community, a guy and his girlfriend passed away.
Before they passed away in the wee hours of Monday morning, the guy had joined his girlfriend in a nightclub to celebrate her birthday.
It was discovered that the dead went to the woman’s shop and put on the generating set inside before going to bed after leaving the club.
They passed away before dawn.
In a phone conversation with our correspondent in Warri on Tuesday morning, DSP Bright Edafe, the public relations officer for the Delta State Police, verified the claim.
In the meanwhile, many who sympathized with the deceased denounced them for hurting their families at Christmas.
Some suggested that their opponents may be manipulating them evilly.
