On Monday, President Bola Tinubu left Abuja to attend a state function in Maiduguri, Borno State.
At around ten-thirty-five on Monday morning, Tinubu took off from the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.
The President is scheduled to attend the Nigerian Army Annual Conference as the Special Guest of Honour. This is the first time the President has traveled to the northeast since taking office.
The President will lay the cornerstone of Headquarters 7 Division, inspect the ongoing Nigerian Army Reference Hospital in Maiduguri, and address the troops of Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI, according to a statement from Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, Director of Army Public Relations.
