In Niger State, the All Progressives Congress, or APC, has banned any member from speaking about the party’s internal problems on any media outlet.
The information was revealed in a letter dated November 24 and signed by Shuaibu Isah, the party’s state acting secretary.
The letter said that the prohibition was implemented in accordance with decisions made at the party’s working committee meeting and advised against bringing any issues, no matter how minor, to the attention of the media.
The party promised to make sure that anyone who disobeys the order faces consequences in line with the party charter.
“I’m directed by Mr. Chairman—Alh. Aminu Musa Bobi—to convey the above subject matter and to recall among the resolutions reached during the formal Working Committee meeting that individuals affiliated with the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the local government level down to the wards should refrain from attempting to go on air to make any public broadcast, whether via radio, television, or any other means of public broadcasting, regarding any issues that may arise from the LGA Executive Committees.
“In the interim, all issues and disagreements will now be resolved and reconciled through the party.
“From now on, those who disregard the aforementioned instructions will be dealt with in accordance with our great party’s constitutions.”
