According to the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Kaduna Sector Command, there have been 18 confirmed deaths and 27 injuries in the Kaduna-Abuja highway collision.
The number was verified by Sector Commander Mr. Kabir Nadabo in an update sent to the press.
Early on Sunday morning, the corps verified that the catastrophe had left 16 persons dead and 27 wounded.
Nadabo claims that the incident occurred on the roadway close to the Audu Jangon village around 5:20 in the morning.
He said that the large number of casualties was the consequence of the collision’s causes, which were speeding and overloading of people and goods.
According to Nadabo, “our investigation into the incident has revealed that 65 people were involved in the crash, 27 of whom got injured, and 18 of whom died.”
In order to guarantee a prompt reaction to traffic accidents, especially in the nation’s vital corridors, he claims that the Corps Marshal of the FRSC has established more formations nationwide in recent years.
