There have apparently been 27 defections from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) by members of the Rivers State House of Assembly.
Assembly members that supported former governor Nyesom Wike, who is currently the Federal Capital Territory’s (FCT) minister, are the ones who deserted.
While the Assembly complex was in session on Monday, the state legislators dissented.
Four of the House’s thirty-two members are reportedly loyal to Governor Siminialayi Fubara, while the remaining members support Governor Wike.
