The administration of Osun State University, or UNIOSUN, has disassociated itself from a widely circulated job posting listing openings for academic and non-academic personnel.
Ademola Adesoji, the university’s public relations officer, stated in a statement that the university runs print ads in national newspapers rather than on social media.
The statement says as follows: “A message circulating on multiple social media platforms has alerted Osun State University’s management to the fact that the university is holding a huge hiring drive for both academic and non-academic posts.
We would want to make it clear that the University is not currently doing any recruitment drives. We thus implore the public to ignore and discard this advertisement, as it is probably an out-of-date notification.
Because of its fake character, this commercial is a sly tactic to con gullible people.
Furthermore, it’s clear that the purpose of redistributing such an antiquated advertising is to mislead and confuse the public in order to forward their own personal agendas.
As a result, the Osun State University administration would want to make it clear that there isn’t a continuous, large-scale hiring process taking place at the institution.
“The public should ignore this advertisement as it is completely fraudulent.”
