Prior to the two clubs’ UEFA Champions League match on Wednesday night, Emmanuel Petit, a former Arsenal player, has alerted the Gunners to the presence of a “very dangerous player” in the RC Lens roster.
Arsenal has won three of its four games before to the Group B matchup.
If Mikel Arteta’s team wins against the French Ligue 1 team, they’ll advance to the Champions League round of 16.
Petit, though, thinks Arsenal could suffer at Emirates Stadium from Lens forward Elye Wahi.
Petit said to Lord Ping, “Lens had a great result at the weekend, beating Clermont Foot 0-3.”
“They’re beginning to exhibit the traits of the squad that shocked so many people in France during the previous campaign.
“Arsenal can be a tough opponent at home, but they can pose a threat if they play with the same intensity as they did in the first group match.” In football, you have to seize the opportunity when it presents itself.
“Elye Wahi, the forward for Lens, is a very dangerous player; he scored over the weekend.” Arsenal will need to watch this guy closely since he has the ability to cause them harm.
