The Grammy-winning musician Burna Boy reportedly received a $5 million advance before agreeing to a recording contract with the American record company Atlantic Records in 2017, according to Nigerian hip-hop artist Phenom.
He asserted that the money was made possible by Matthew “Baus” Adesuyan, a Nigerian-American music businessman who runs the Atlantic Records label Bad Habit, where Burna Boy is contracted.

Additionally, he declared that if any record company offered him a $1 million advance payment, he would go back to rapping.
