The Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Comptroller, Mr. Tony Akuneme, has reiterated the service’s dedication to worker welfare.
While visiting the policemen involved in a fatal traffic accident on the Kano-Zaria expressway on Thursday in Abuja, Akuneme made the following statements.
Akuneme also gave them assurances on the NIS’s steadfast commitment to the complete treatment and rehabilitation of the affected soldiers in a statement released by the command’s Public Relations Officer (PRO), Mr. Ifeanyi Uche.
Recall that while returning to Abuja after an official assignment in Kano, four NIS officers died and seven were wounded in a car accident.
At the Gwagwalada Specialist Hospital, Akuneme told the wounded soldiers and their families that he had been sent by the Service’s Comptroller General, Caroline Adepoju, to see them.
“I want to give you my word that the service will go above and above to make sure you heal completely. Additionally, the CG promised to cover all expenses related to the deadly tragedy,” he stated.
