Titilola Adeleke, the spouse of Osun Governor, has requested a close working partnership with NAPTIP, the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons.
Adeleke made the argument on Wednesday when visiting the Osun Zonal Command of the NAPTIP in Osogbo.
With regard to the forthcoming sixteen-day activism campaign against gender-based violence, which is set to commence on Saturday, November 25, my goal in visiting is to establish a strong relationship with NAPTIP.
“It takes the combined efforts of everyone to fight against the potentially fatal act of gender-based violence,” she declared.
The wife of the governor of Osun was commended for her efforts to free her state from all forms of violence against humanity, but NAPTIP’s zonal commander, Ajiegwu Chinedu, emphasized that the organization is always willing to work with the government and non-governmental organizations, or NGOs, to create a safe society.
“Before the NAPTIP was established, unscrupulous individuals were committing a number of atrocities, including organ harvesting and human trafficking, among others,” he stated.
The head of Osun NAPTIP cautioned criminals to avoid the state, but he also said that anyone found engaged in gender-based violence or human trafficking will face harsh consequences from the legal system.
