No fatalities or accidents were reported in the state of Osun in October, according to the Federal Road Safety Corps’ Osun Sector Command.
This was announced on Wednesday in Osogbo by the Command spokeswoman, A. Useini, in a statement from the Sector Commander, Henry Benamaisia.
189 of the 432 people arrested in October for a variety of traffic offenses received safety-related education, according to Benamaisia.
Since our officers worked so hard and since other road users cooperated, we were able to record no deaths in October.

In addition, he stated that the command has started four television educational programs and 24 radio programs to ensure the safety of people and property.
“We were able to reach the targeted audience through media outlets and had a very strong level of safety sensitization.”
He went on to say that everyone has a shared duty for highway safety in order to assist prevent any kind of accident that could result in the loss of life or property.
On the other hand, Benamaisia suggested that drivers use defensive driving strategies in order to assist avert any unplanned collisions on the highways.
