The Nasarawa State governor’s race between David Ombugadu of the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Abdullahi Sule of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been scheduled for hearing before the Court of Appeal in Abuja on Thursday, November 23, 2023.
The Appellate Court’s Electronic Desk Officer, Nasiru Alhassan, notified the parties of this by text message.
As per the notification, the Appellate Court is supposed to deliver the ruling by nine in the morning.
But only ten members of the two major parties will be permitted entry into the Appeal Court’s grounds.
Remember that Governor Sule was removed from office by the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal (GEPT), which also proclaimed PDP candidate Ombugadu the victor of the state’s 2023 gubernatorial election.
Disappointed with the ruling, Sule filed an appeal seeking to overturn the tribunal’s decision and validate his election as declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
