The Governor remarked that this was not the first time the State Government had honored those who had passed away or been hurt while performing their assigned duties and vowed to keep showing love and support to the impacted families and agencies in order to enable them to carry out their responsibilities without fear or discouragement.
“This is an opportunity to appreciate the invaluable jobs the security agencies, that is, the Police, Army, Air Force, Navy, NDELA, Civil Defense and other Para-Military Agencies are doing in Imo State,” he stated, adding that he is aware that the Federal Government and the Security Agencies have different compensation plans for their personnel.
Governor Uzodimma then prayed to God and said that the government will provide N185 million to those impacted.
