Muhammadu Buhari, the immediate past president of Nigeria, claims that Nigerians are very challenging to lead.
Speaking for the first time since transferring power to President Bola Tinubu on May 29, Buhari claimed to have done his best while in office in an interview with NTA.
He did, however, state that it is up to the people to decide if his effort was sufficient.
Buhari recalled how he was always under pressure from detractors to “struggle day and night” in an effort to live up to their expectations.
“I tried my best, but God granted me the chance to serve my nation. But I leave it to others to decide if my best was sufficient.
They essentially keep an eye on everything you do. And you have to work hard every day to make sure you are capable enough.
