In protest against Chief Judge Adepele Ojo and the way the state’s judiciary is run, members of the Osun State Judiciary Staff Union closed the doors to the Osun State High Court in Osogbo on Monday.
Movement into the premises was blocked by the protesting employees, who were headed by Mr. Gbenga Eludire.
They accused Ojo of not paying workers’ wardrobe allowances for the previous three years, brandishing placards that read, among other things, “Judiciary staff deserves better,” “We are tired of oppression and stagnation,” and “Unlawful suspension of Judiciary staff without recourse to Judicial Service Commission is barbaric.”
