As the 23rd Commissioner of Police for Jigawa state, CP. Ahmad Tijjani Abdullahi has been assigned by the Nigerian Police Force (NPF).
This was said in a statement sent to reporters on Monday by DSP. Lawan Shiisu Adam, the public relations officer for the state police.
According to him, Abdullahi’s deployment follows the redeployment of CP Effiom Emmanuel Ekot, the former Commissioner of Police of Jigawa State Police Command, to the office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) after he was promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG).
Prior to his assignment, he held the position of Deputy Commissioner of Police at Force Headquarters in Abuja, where he oversaw procurement. He then assumed the Commissioner of Police position in Jigawa State Command.
In order to combat crime and criminality both inside and outside the state, the CP has appealed for the participation and support of sister security agencies, traditional rulers, religious leaders, and other pertinent stakeholders.
