On Thursday, the third cohort of the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) was formally launched by Vice President Kashim Shettima.
At the council’s first meeting, held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Shettima urged the members to dedicate themselves entirely to creating a conducive business climate in the country.
Additionally, he begged the council members to readily align with the eight-point Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu’s government.
He claimed that this would show the strong political will that underlies the administration led by Tinubu’s revolutionary initiatives.
“Seamlessly aligning with the vision of His Excellency, President Bola Tinubu, and the administration’s eight-point Renewed Hope agenda,” Shettima stated.
“The strong political will behind this government’s transformative initiatives is directly reflected in our commitment to creating a business-friendly environment.”
“We have a strong basis today, and we understand that fulfilling PEBEC’s purpose is essential to the success of our country’s collective economic development.
Reforms are unquestionably difficult projects, especially in our area. But history has shown that they are attainable, and we are motivated by their accomplishments.
As a council, we must be steadfast in our commitment to these reforms, and every member must give this task their all.
Shettima also urged the council members to put in a lot of effort for the general prosperity of the Tinubu government.
He said that collaboration and a shared commitment were the essential attitudes in order to fully appreciate the revolutionary implications that PEBEC may have on the Nigerian economy.
“As we face these challenges head-on today, our objective is not just to weather the storm but to create more winners, businesses that not only withstand challenges but thrive and make a significant contribution to our economic vitality,” he continued.
