In Dan-Umaru village, Bena District, Kebbi State, on Monday, four bandits attacked a single person. Local security officers, also known as Vigilantes, killed the bandits.
This was revealed in a statement offered to media on Monday in Birnin Kebbi by Ahmed Idris, the State Governor’s chief press secretary.
Idris cited Abdul Rahman Usman, Director of Security at the Cabinet Office in Birnin Kebbi, as revealing the success story.
He claimed that when the bandits attacked a village close to Dan-Umaru that borders Dadin Duniya in the Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara state, the vigilantes took up positions and defeated them.
He continued by saying that the victim is currently getting better under treatment at an unnamed hospital.
He declared, “The vigilante swiftly took position, ambushed the bandits, and killed all four of them as they were making their way back to Zamfara State when they launched an attack on the village.
“The deceased were brought to the village of Dan-Umaru. The incident happened in the Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State, close to Dan-Umaru, which borders Dadin Duniya.
