The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has a special counsel named Aloy Ejimakor, who has maintained that the Biafra agitator is not a terrorist.
According to Ejimakor, Kanu is the commander of millions, and his army won’t give up until he is liberated.
He made the observation that four courts will not grant financial compensation or an unrestricted parole to a terrorist.
“This fact is self-evident: A terrorist can never be awarded monetary compensation by three high courts & unconditional release by the Court of Appeal & the United Nations,” Ejimakor said in a post on X. #MNKFree. That man is not a terrorist. He is a leader of legions and millions of people who will not give up until he is set free.
Since his re-arrest in Kenya in 2021, the head of IPOB has been held by the Department of State Services (DSS) by directive from the Nigerian government.
In 2021, Kanu was apprehended again in Kenya and returned to Nigeria after an exceptional rendition.
Courts in Nigeria have ordered Kanu’s freedom and given him financial compensation after his return.
The Nigerian government has refused to release the IPOB leader despite court decisions giving him freedom.
IPOB charged on Monday that the DSS was preventing Kanu from receiving visitors despite his failing health.
