Before the 2023–24 Nigeria National League season, Lafia City Stadium was inspected by Nasarawa State Governor Abudulai Sule.
On Saturday, November 11, Nasarawa United will play host to Zamfara United in the season’s first game.
Sule visited the facility to make sure it was finished and up to the standards needed for the next football season.
He said he wanted to make sure the Solid Miners got back to the top league as soon as possible by providing them with the help they needed.
“I am pleased with the progress the team is making. It indicates that we are headed for a better league campaign.
“In the end, we ought to have the best for the group in order to tackle the difficulties that lie ahead.
“I appreciate your interest in the State. We want to make sure that during this time we return to the Nigeria Premier Football League, where we truly belong. The NNL leadership has given us encouragement by selecting the Lafia City Stadium to mark the start of the 2023–2024 League Season.
