President Bola Tinubu may have more difficulties controlling the followers of Peter Obi, the Labour Party (LP) candidate, often known as Obidients, according to Daniel Bwala, spokesman for the Atiku Abubakar Presidential Campaign Council, than he will in overseeing the nation’s economic affairs.
Bwala made this comments in response to Datti Baba-Ahmed, Obi’s running partner, who had commented on the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold Tinubu’s election as Nigeria’s president.
During a Monday interview program, Datti maintained that the Supreme Court had simply confirmed the illegality of the lower courts, not the victory of President Tinubu.
He continued by saying that a man who falsified his credentials and lost drug money would never be able to unsettle him.
However, Bwala stated in a message posted on his X Twitter on Tuesday that Tinubu will have more difficulties leading the LP and its adherents.
He said, “After listening to Datti Baba-Ahmed this evening, I don’t think the man has changed much from his previous stance, even though he now acknowledges that Tinubu is the President as determined by the court.
“However, I’m now convinced by Peter Obi and Datti’s stance that @officialABAT Tinubu has more issues to deal with with the Labour Party and Obidients than with Nigeria’s overall economy and insecurity.
“A course at OAU, ABU, and Nsukka universities will be taught on how he will navigate this,” he continued.
