Sheikh Yusuf Ali, a prominent Islamic scholar, died Friday night at the age of 73, according to Senate Deputy President Barau Jibrin.
Senator Barau expressed his sympathies to the deceased’s family, the Kano State Government, and the whole Muslim Ummah in a sincere condolence statement written by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ismail Mudashir.
He stated that the deceased’s legacy will go on, blazing the path of knowledge and spirituality for all.
According to the statement, Sheikh Yusuf Ali was a famous Islamic scholar whose impact reached well beyond national lines, and his teachings and wisdom touched the lives of many Nigerians and others.
It stated that his profound knowledge, sermons, and writings served as guiding lights and sources of inspiration for Muslims, and that his unflinching commitment to fostering peace, unity, and understanding throughout the Islamic community will leave an indelible impact for future generations.
