An accident at Mpape, a hamlet near Abuja’s Maitama District, on Thursday resulted in the deaths of at least five people.
It was discovered that the sand-conveying truck’s brakes failed, resulting in the disaster.
Sector Commander Chorrie Mutaa of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FCT Command, confirmed the tragedy and stated that the corps rescue team had “recovered five dead bodies and 10 injured persons.”
Mutaa said that the truck and a motorcycle were two of the thirteen cars involved in the collision.
