Dapo Abiodun, the governor of Ogun State, revealed on Thursday that his administration’s dedication to the state’s continued progress is unwavering.
According to Abiodun, he could not afford to take any less action because it is both his serious vow to God and his agreement with the state’s citizens.
This was disclosed by the governor at the Egba Division Town Hall meeting, which was held at the Cultural Center Kuto Abeokuta in advance of the 2024–2026 Medium Term Expenditure Framework and the 2024 Appropriation Bill.
Speaking through his deputy, Noimot Salako-Oyedele, the governor stated that his administration’s policies and initiatives serve the interests of the majority of the populace regardless of social class, political affiliation, ethnicity, or religion.
“You observe in our system a strategic approach towards the formulation and implementation of our policies and programs which are geared towards the welfare, wellness, and well-being of our people,” the speaker stated.
“Our administration is resolute in its commitment to upholding democratic values and being just, fair, accountable, transparent, and equitable, as seen by the continuous progress in development that is occurring throughout the state.
In light of this, our administration will keep giving the state’s citizens a prominent place in demonstrating its genuine dedication to sound governance. All important parties are cordially invited to keep working with us to construct our shared future.
Speaking at the function, Dapo Okubadejo, the governor’s chief economic advisor and the state commissioner for finance, stated that the administration is dedicated to implementing more inclusive and fiscal practices in order to advance the state.
According to Mr. Olaolu Olabimtan, the Commissioner for Budget and Planning, the governor is prepared to start new projects that would provide the people a higher quality of life in addition to his commitment to finishing all current ones.
Contributing, Sen. Gbenga Obadara, a former senator from Ogun Central, stated that the government ought to investigate the route that connects to the Laderin train station in Abeokuta since it is a memorial to the people of Egbaland in addition to Adatan route.
Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, the Alake and paramount ruler of Egbaland, was represented by Oba Adedapo Tejuoso, the Osile of Oke-Ona, who thanked the state government for acknowledging and supporting the traditional institutions. The Osile also urged the government to take more proactive measures to address the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.
