The Ohanaeze Ndigbo socio-cultural group has encouraged President Bola Tinubu to reconcile with presidential aspirants Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and Peter Obi of the Labour Party, LP.
Following the Supreme Court’s decision, Tinubu, according to Ohanaeze, will establish an atmosphere for all Nigerians to work by extending hands of fellowship to Atiku and Obi.
Okechukwu Isiguzoro, the Factional Secretary-General, emphasized the necessity for the president to demonstrate sportsmanship.
“In the spirit of true sportsmanship,” Isiguzoro says, “President Tinubu should extend hands of friendship and reconciliation to his opponents, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi.” President Tinubu has the potential to establish an atmosphere in which all Nigerians may work together for growth and development by encouraging unity and inclusion.
The group also warned the National Democratic Coalition, or NADECO, against any plots to defame the president.
“Furthermore, Ohanaeze Ndigbo calls on the NADECO (National Democratic Coalition) diaspora chapter to halt its plans to continue embracing any form of opposition to President Tinubu.”
“It is time for all Nigerians, regardless of political affiliation, to band together and support the elected government.” Unity and teamwork are critical for tackling the difficulties ahead and establishing a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria.
“Ohanaeze Ndigbo remains committed to advancing the interests and welfare of Igbos and all Nigerians.” We recognize and congratulate the Supreme Court’s decision, which brings the Presidential elections in 2023 to a close.
“Let us now focus on fostering peace, unity, and progress as we collectively work towards a brighter future under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” the message went on to say.
