Father of late Nigerian musician Mohbad, Ilerioluwa Olademeji Aloba, Joseph Aloba, has given an explanation of why he believed it was necessary for Liam, his deceased child’s kid, to have his DNA taken in his presence.
Aloba made reference to the necessity to resolve the contentious debate among Nigerians regarding the child’s paternity and other related concerns involving the former Marlian singer and his wife.
The late singer’s father also emphasized the value of the test while refuting the rumor that the DNA test was conducted in a post by well-known sketch creator, OGBCultist, who is thought to be Mohbad’s friend, in an interview with Stams TV on Wednesday.
In order to guarantee the correctness of the results, he further suggested that the test be carried out at two distinct hospitals.
“It’s imperative that they perform the DNA test,” Aloba remarked. The people of Nigeria want it. I’ve heard rumors that they did it, but nevertheless, I’m Mohbad’s father, and if I’m not present to know how they’ll do the test, I’ll send someone who can speak for me. And even if they do want to do it, it should be done twice so that we can be absolutely certain that we are telling the truth.
Even Olu Ikere, who visited me where I come from in Ikere Ekiti, has just left my side. My own country does not accept bastards, but if this child is Mohbad’s, I will be overjoyed because he or she is the only one he or she claimed to have left for me. I was with him three days prior to his passing, and he even brought me food while snapping photos, putting Liam on my hands.
He continued by saying that he is also interested in the police wrapping up their investigation so that his late child’s funeral rites might be carried out.
“I’m going to phone the police chief and ask if we can bury him. In reality, a lot of people have reported seeing Mohbad’s ghost, which is only conceivable because he hasn’t been laid to rest. I truly would appreciate it if this was looked into as soon as possible,” he remarked.
MohBad passed away on September 12, 2023, at the age of 27, and his death sparked controversies that resulted in widespread demonstrations among Nigerians. His former label boss Azeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley, and his associate Samson Balogun, aka Sam Larry, were named as two of the five main suspects.
