ESPN reports that Jadon Sancho is prepared to return to Borussia Dortmund from Manchester United in January.
The Bundesliga club has openly denied interest in signing its ex-player, but it’s assumed they’d be open to it if the money’s right.
However, Dortmund would still require United to pay a portion of Sancho’s £300,000-per-week salary if he were to be given a brief loan until the end of the season.
The 23-year-old played for the German team from 2017 to 2021, spending four years there, and he still keeps in touch with Edin Terzic, the head coach.
United is open to hearing proposals for Sancho in January and is ready to support Erik ten Hag in his firm position on team discipline.
Sancho hasn’t played for United since August after being dropped from the team for openly contesting Ten Hag’s justifications for leaving him out of the starting lineup for the September 3 loss against Arsenal.
