Following the latest injury setback suffered by the Nigerian, Napoli manager Rudi Garcia has acknowledged that the team will miss Victor Osimhen.
Last weekend, Osimhen returned to Naples after suffering a thigh injury while serving abroad.
According to speculations, the strong striker may be sidelined for four to six weeks.
Garcia acknowledged that the club will find it challenging to function without the 24-year-old.
Garcia told La Gazzetta dello Sport, “We need all of our players to be well and prepared to play, and Osimhen’s absence is a significant loss for the team.
“We need to find a way to function without him because he is a key member of the team.”
In 10 appearances for the Partenopei this season across all competitions, the forward has scored eight goals.
