Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, the Chief of Air Staff, has stated that the force will soon start adding recently acquired platforms to its inventory.
He claimed that the military had begun receiving new air assets that the Nigerian government had purchased.
Incorporating the systems, he continued, will enable the Air Force to effectively combat terrorists, robbers, and other evildoers operating in the nation.
The service’s spokesman, Edward Gabkwet, said in a statement on Wednesday that the Air Chief made this disclosure during a meeting with commanders.
The announcement stated, in part, that “The NAF has begun receiving possession of additional aviation assets purchased by the Federal Government as recently as it received the final two Diamond-62 Multi-Purpose Platform at a ceremony conducted in Ilorin, Kwara State.
Other new platforms that have been obtained for the Service will soon be included in the NAF. When introduced, the CAS noted, these extra aircraft would undoubtedly give the NAF operations a significant boost as it combats terrorists, rebels, and other criminal groups harming our country.
Abubakar also asked the commanders to uphold their duty to the populace.
“The Nigerian people want us to do a lot, including making sure we rid every region of criminals and their proclivities. We cannot afford to disappoint Nigerians, the message continued.
Additionally, he urged the commanders to develop plans to increase NAF operations, logistics support systems, and maintenance procedures.
