According to Ahmed Aliyu, the governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal left him with an empty treasury.
Tambuwal allegedly declined to give Aliyu even one note, according to Aliyu.
On Thursday, the governor said as he greeted Benjamin Kalu, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives.
When asked how he managed to complete 100 projects in his first 100 days in office, Aliyu replied that he had to make sacrifices right away.
The governor stated through his deputy, Idris Gobir, that “not a single paper was handed over to us; we inherited an empty treasury and nothing to show.” Within the previous 100 days, we have succeeded in shifting the narrative of the state after making a sacrifice to do so.
Sen. Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, the current All Progressives Congress (APC) leader in the state, was credited with grooming them, according to him, and he described the relationship between the state administration and the legislature as friendly.
Aliyu praised the Green Chamber’s leadership for sending a strong delegation to express their condolences to the state’s administration and people following the passing of Jelani Danbuga, a colleague and member who represented the Isa-Sabon Birni Federal Constituency.
He characterized the late congressman as a true gentleman and a patriot.
