A 23-year-old man named Quadri Babalola was given a six-month prison term by an Ota Magistrates’ Court in Ogun on Tuesday for stealing an Infinix phone worth N57,000.
The accused, whose home address was not given, was accused of robbing Benjamin Odeyemi of his phone.
The accused allegedly committed the crime on February 28 at around 2:30 pm at No. 52, Plaza Junction, Sango-Ota, according to the prosecutor, Insp. E.O. Adaraloye.
The offense, according to Adaraloye, was against Section 390 of the Criminal Code, Law of Ogun, 2006.
After the defendant admitted guilt to the accusation, the magistrate, Mr. O.O. Okiki, sentenced him to six months in prison without the possibility of a fine.
