From N786.88 per liter in August 2022 to N854.32 per litre in August 2023, the price of diesel in Nigeria grew by 8.57%.
This information was provided by the National Bureau of Statistics in its Friday report, “Automotive Gas Oil (Diesel) Price Watch (August 2022)”.
The average price increased by 7.53% from N794.48 in July to N854.32 on a monthly basis in August 2023.
The top three States with the highest average price of the commodity in August 2023, when state prices are taken into account, are Abia State (N970.00), Niger State (N960.14), and Abuja (N950.22).
Additionally, Bayelsa State (N700.00), Katsina State (N771.43), and Kaduna State (N775.42) were the top three lowest costs.
