There is unrest in the Agbarha-Otor community in the Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State after it was claimed that the residence of a local cleric contained the corpse of a child.
It was revealed that on Friday morning, the pastor’s home was where the remains of the unnamed girl were found.
Our informant claimed that after burning his father’s shrine in the neighborhood, the cleric, whose church is on Onomuke Street, killed the young girl with a machete.
Despite the report’s the pastor’s motivation for doing so was unknown.
Security personnel from Agbarha-Otor B’ Division had to arrive in time to prevent a mob from lynching the suspect.
When approached to confirm the story, DSP Bright Edafe, the public relations officer for the Delta State Police, was not available.
