Oladotun Ojuolape Kayode, alias Do2dtun, a Nigerian actor, video jockey, and on-air personality, has attributed the Lekki tollgate tear gas incident victims’ tragedy to them.
Remember how many of the late rapper Ilerioluwa Olademeji Aloba’s (also known as Mohbad) followers flocked to the Lekki tollgate on Thursday for a candlelight parade in his honor and how the police reportedly used tear gas to disperse them?
According to reports, several of the fans were hurt in varying degrees.
OAP Do2dtun responded via his X account, berating the victims for assembling at the Lekki tollgate after the parade had already finished at the designated location, Muri Okunola Park, at around 8 o’clock.
Honesty above honesty, he penned. Nigerians are not attentive. We are very active. Over three hours ago, the parade came to a close at Muri Okunola Park. Finally, we all departed. Some people nevertheless made their way to the Lekki toll gate. It is not a demonstration. It is a parade by candlelight.
He criticized the police for unleashing tear gas on the grieving, though.
“It’s not appropriate for the police to do that, but individuals often take these items and use them for other purposes. Muri Okunola (Park) received approval, and the torch procession was calm.
It just makes sense, says I. Are the individuals who returned home stupid? Use this technique sometimes. Lagos, we are.
