Devakumar Edwin, the executive director of the Dangote Group, claims that the refinery will receive its first shipment of crude oil in two weeks, signalling the start of operations.
In a recent interview with S&P Global Commodity Insights, Edwin made this disclosure.
The change occurs after there was a hint that the business might start up in October.
In an interview, the company CEO said that the Dangote Refinery intends to double fuel output, with the goal of reaching an astonishing 650,000 barrels per day by November 30.
“Right now, I’m prepared to receive crude,” he declared. All we have to do is wait for the first ship. Therefore, we can get started as soon as it arrives.
Recalls that during the opening of the refinery in May, Aliko Dangote had claimed it would resume operation in July.
