In light of the circumstances surrounding the death of Promise Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad or Imole, Senior Pastor of the Awaiting the Second Coming of Jesus Christ Ministry, Pastor Adewale Giwa, said on Wednesday that Naira Marley and Sam Larry should have had their whereabouts reported to the authorities.
The well-known clergyman claimed that prior to the deceased’s passing, he had been referring to the pair frequently for torturing him and after his life.
Giwa emphasised that since the problem started last week, they should have turned themselves in for investigations if they were actually unrelated to the situation. She also urged the police to take the necessary action.
In addition, he urged the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) to take appropriate action in response to the suspected participation of one of its ambassadors.
The pastor also took issue with the way Mohbad’s father added to the difficulty of the situation by failing to be there for his son when he needed a father figure.
The late Mohbad’s father encountered several attacks while complicating matters for his son. When the father was giving an interview on one of the recordings, he acknowledged that there had been a time when Mohbad had been beaten and that he had to get there when he was summoned. When he arrived, he claimed he was informed that the matter had been resolved. As a result, he claims that as a parent, he never bothered to look into what would have caused some individuals to beat up his kid. It demonstrated that he wasn’t a good father.
Even more puzzling is the fact that my son was only particular about the deceased’s stuff when he passed away. He even went so far as to admit that he had no idea where his land was or where he had constructed his house.
He said that a church was going to be built on the ground where his son was interred.
People would believe that God summoned him once the church has been finished and he has begun to make money, not realising that he was in poverty. When Mohbad needed him, he was too blind to save his kid.
“While his kid was suffering through such pains, he was meant to have sounded the alarm throughout the world. He was a part of his premature passing.
“Mohbad had submitted a petition to the police even before he passed away. It is appropriate to inquire about the police agency that received the letter and afterwards offered justifications after his passing. They said he was invited but declined to go. Someone created a petition and named the people who were attempting to kill him, but the cops started making excuses.
Why would someone with a dubious character be appointed an ambassador by an organisation like NDLEA? The ambassadorial designation need to be revoked right now.
“Since Mohbad has already named Naira Marley and Sam Larry as those pursuing him, the police shouldn’t waste time issuing a wanted warrant for their arrest for failing to appear for questioning,” the police statement reads.
Giwa said, “I’m astonished that Nigerian President Asiwaju Tinubu has not responded to Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba’s passing. He undoubtedly has a sizable staff of media assistants and advisors who are tasked with drawing his attention to the issues of the Nigerians calling for justice for the late Mohbad.
“President Tinubu has to be reminded that, as the tribunal stated, he is no longer the leader of the All Progressives Congress but rather the president of all Nigerians.
“Let me also encourage the police to carry out their job carefully, swiftly apprehend and charge the murderers of Ilerioluwa. Do not brush the situation under the rug.
