Global IT company Meta intends to soon introduce a verification badge for WhatsApp companies.
Nikila Srinivasan, vice president of business messaging at Meta, confirmed the news on Wednesday.
To assist consumers know they are conversing with the correct business, the company said it will soon start to let firms to acquire verification from Meta.
As a result, organisations who want to be “Meta verified” must prove their legitimacy to Meta in order to get a verified badge, better account assistance, and impersonation protection.
According to the company’s Vice President, “For businesses interested in signing up, Meta Verified will come with additional premium features including the ability to create a custom WhatsApp page that is simple to find via a web search and multi-device support so multiple employees can respond to customers. Before bringing Meta Verified to companies utilising the WhatsApp Business Platform in the future, we’ll start testing it soon with small businesses using the WhatsApp Business app.
The company also disclosed the introduction of Flows, a feature that would enable companies to sell their whole range of services without having the customer leave the conversation.
“With flows, businesses can offer rich menus and customizable forms that support various needs,” it was stated. In the upcoming weeks, we’ll make Flows accessible to companies utilising the WhatsApp Business Platform all across the world.
