The cooperation between security services, according to Benue State Governor Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has provided the state “relative peace.”
The Governor assured the security agencies of the assistance of the state government while speaking at the Air War College’s Course 9/2023 graduation event at the Nigerian Air Force Base, Makurdi.
According to Alia, the state’s military forces’ presence and ongoing participation in important activities will give the populace confidence and optimism, allowing them to go asleep with their eyes closed.
He expressed gratitude to both the Federal Government and the Nigerian Armed Forces for their support of Benue State, which he claimed was still the friendliest in the nation.
The governor congratulated the graduates and urged them to continue serving their country as excellent ambassadors.
Earlier in his speech, the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, spoke on behalf of the Nigerian Armed Forces and praised them for consistently repositioning themselves with a strong emphasis on human capital development.
According to Abubakar, the War College would foster proactive decision-making in the military and improve the Nigerian Air Force’s capacity for critical thought.
He expressed his gratitude to the governor for taking time out of his hectic schedule to attend the graduation.
The minister informed the governor of Benue that the military will provide him with the necessary support to ensure that peace is restored in the state, noting that the governor has shown a readiness to work with the Nigerian Armed Forces.
