Professor Udochukwu Ogbonna has been named the chairman of the Abia State Board of Internal Revenue by Governor Alex Otti.
Under the leadership of Professor Ogbonna, Abia IGR saw a surge for the first time while he was in power under previous Governor Theodore Orji.
The governor also named David Anyaele, the convener of the Coalition of Disability Organisations (CODO) and executive director of the Centre for Citizens with Disabilities (CCD), as special assistant to people with disabilities.
Governor Alex Otti appointed 12 additional new appointments, according to a statement from his chief press secretary, Kazie Uko.
Other recent appointments include Dr. Lilian Ezenwa, Senior Special Assistant, Ease of Doing Business, Kingsley Nkemakolam Agomoh, General Manager, GM, Umuahia Capital Development Authority, Justice K. C. Nwankpa (ret.) – Ombudsman, and others.
The Governor also appointed Mr. Chinenye Mba-Uzoukwu as Principal Secretary/Chief Strategy Officer, Prof. Vincent Eze Onwe as Provost of the Abia State College of Education, Technical, Arochukwu, and Godson Anucha as Senior Special Assistant, Labour Relations.
Others were Charles Egonye, the governor’s technical assistant, Miss Ure Abazie, the director general of the Abia State Orientation Agency, Idika Mba Idika, the head of the Government House Clinic, and Miss Elizabeth Chibuzor Chijioke, the special assistant for the digital economy.
Kenechukwu Nwosu was named Special Adviser, Education, while Okezie Ezengwa was appointed Deputy General Manager, Abia State Environmental Protection Agency, ASEPA, Aba.
