According to information gathered from the National System Operator, a semi-autonomous body in the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), THE Electricity Distribution Companies, DisCos, have started load shedding while the TCN restores 1,184 megawatts, MW, into the national grid.
Yesterday, the country’s electricity generation reached zero as the national grid failed again in less than six hours, leaving the whole country in the dark.
However, Vanguard’s inspections revealed that the DisCos have resumed supplies to select users, including households and organizations, in light of the continuous load shedding.
