Thursday’s grill and pool party typically signifies a good time filled with merriment and relaxation in the Big Brother Naija house.
However, this time, things unexpectedly changed when a disagreement over a lack of booze resulted in tears rather than smiles. Earlier in the evening, Cross and Ilebaye had been a charming couple; now, they were engaged in an argument.
Cross and Ilebaye were partnered up for a Close Up job prior to the commotion. During their performance, they told a charming love story and performed a passionate dance. While everything appeared to be in order, problems were developing.
Cross’s discovery that some of the booze, particularly Ceec’s beverages, had disappeared from the table set off the drama. He was trying to determine who was at fault while feeling confused and irritated. Ilebaye repeatedly questioned Cross about it since she was interested in what was going on. He yelled at her as his rage reached a peak.
Ilebaye was startled by this abrupt outburst, and she yelled back, turning the quiet celebration into a boisterous battleground. Everyone was in awe of how they could go from being a loving couple to enemies.
Cross realized his error and expressed regret for yelling, but the harm had already been done. Ilebaye sobbed and went to bed after the altercation, obviously heartbroken.
Even more unexpected was how their other housemates responded. Ilebaye was upset, but Alex and Soma chose to stay out of it and enjoy the party instead of getting involved.
The key question at this point is whether Cross and Ilebaye can work out their differences and resume their romantic relationship. Only time will tell if they are able to return to pursuing those two objectives.
