Festus Keyamo, the minister of aviation and aerospace development, praised President Bola Tinubu “for this judicial vindication” and blasted the opposition, pleading with them to “have sense” and support Tinubu’s administration.
After the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal validated Tinubu’s win in the presidential election conducted on February 25, 2023, Keyamo responded.
The Peoples Democratic Party’s Atiku Abubakar and the Labour Party’s Peter Obi submitted a petition, but the PEPT determined that it was without merit.
The five-member tribunal unanimously confirmed Tinubu’s electoral win after each member took turns dismissing the petitions.
Justice Haruna Tsammani presided over the panel, which also included Justices Stephen Adah, Monsurat Bolaji-Yusuf, Moses Ugo, and Abba Mohammed.
On his X (Twitter) profile, Keyamo responded to the verdict, writing: “Today, Daniel has reached a verdict:
“Whether it’s the phoney US drug problem, the 25% FCT problem, or the IREV problem, EVERY SINGLE THING SOME OF US HAVE ALWAYS YELLED OURSELVES HOARSE ABOUT DURING THE CAMPAIGNS AND POST-CAMPAIGNS HAS BEEN PROVED ABSOLUTELY RIGHT.
Some of us are only encouraged to continue standing up for our ideals, even when they seem to be going against the current for the moment.
“The just will always be vindicated in the end! Big congrats to @officialABAT (President Bola Tinubu) for this legal victory against all the malicious falsehoods that were being spread about him.
“Now is the time for them to grow up and support his government and national harmony!”
