Burna Boys claimed he was initially perplexed as to Cole’s intended audience until learning it was him.
On the most recent edition of the Elliott Wilson-hosted Rap Radar Podcast, Burna Boy made the assertion.
I don’t really know the mechanics of how everything transpired, but anyway I wind up in the studio with J. Cole and a group of basketball guys who are all quite tall, the man added. We all just speak about genuine stuff, about life in general, before [creating] any music.
“As for myself, I don’t particularly enjoy talking to folks who don’t reside with me. I don’t usually have lengthy chats like that, you know. So, I saw that I was simply drifting.
Before we begin recording, J. Cole just says, “Bro, this nigga is Tupac. I turned to see who he was referring to and then. He is referring to me. He claims that this nigga resembles Tupac who was reborn in Africa.
