Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso’s suspension by the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, has been rejected by Abubakar Yesufu, chairman of the League of Patriotic Lawyers and a member of the Kwankwansiya Movement, who claims the move was invalid from the start.
He said that the party’s removal of a group he called a dissident faction had brought the membership back to reason.
Yesufu stated yesterday at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos that Kwankwaso’s alleged suspension was false from the beginning and that there is no split inside the NNPP.
There is no division in the party, he declared. The ejection of the dissident group has restored faith in the NNPP family, and the alleged suspension of Dr. Musa Kwankwaso is a little storm in a teacup.
The National Working Committee, or NWC, of the party was correct to use the heavy stick against those who allegedly suspended Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the party’s national leader, when they were seated in Apapa. Due to the dissidents’ prior suspension a month ago, the action was null and invalid from the start. I want Nigerians to maintain having faith in the party because they are the only ones who can save the nation from a bleak destiny. The leader and messiah assigned to do this task is Dr. Rabiu Kwankwaso.
“Recent presidential and other polls do not accurately reflect the party’s strength among the electorate.
“Our goals are to provide hope to those who have none, to feed the hungry, to clothe the naked, educate the ignorant, and house the homeless remain undiminished.”
