The death of a Corps tow truck driver who perished in a car accident at Karu Bridge, Abuja, has shocked the Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Dauda Ali Biu.
According to a statement from the FRSC, the accident happened at precisely 04:02am when a tow truck from the company was transporting a broken-down car along the indicated road.
“Following the unfortunate road traffic crash that occurred at Karu bridge, on the Nyanya-Maraba motorway, on Friday, September 1, 2023, which resulted in the death of Federal Road Safety Corps Tow Truck driver who was towing a broken down trailer from the crash scene; the Corps Marshal, Dauda Ali Biu has expressed deep shock over the incident, as he commiserates with the entire Management and Staff of the Corps over the loss,” the statement read.
The sad accident happened at precisely 04:02 HRS when the FRSC Tow Truck was removing the damaged Truck along the previously indicated route.
The investigation into the collision showed that there were four persons involved in all, three of whom had various degrees of injury, and one person, who happened to be the tow truck driver, died. There were only the two cars, the truck, and the FRSC tow truck there.
The Corps Marshal, who was immensely affected by the accident, prayed for the souls of the fallen to rest in peace and ordered the quick evacuation of every impediment that the accident had created.
